What is Advenchee?
Advenchee is a mobile app that lets you play classic text adventures (like Zork) with beautiful illustrations, an AI narrator, and optional voice gameplay. Think of it as the original text adventures, reimagined for modern devices.
Is it really Zork?
Yes! Advenchee runs the original Z-machine game files, so the puzzles, rooms, and story are exactly as Infocom created them. We've added illustrations, an AI narrator, and a modern interface on top.
How much does it cost?
Zork I is free to play in text mode. Additional games like Zork II are available for a one-time purchase. Playing with AI via voice requires Voice AI Tokens, which you buy separately. Text mode is always free.
What are Voice AI Tokens?
Voice AI Tokens let you play with an AI game master via voice — speak your commands and the AI narrator reads the story aloud, reacting to everything you do. Each minute of voice AI play uses tokens. Text mode doesn't use tokens at all.
Why do Voice AI Tokens cost money?
Playing with AI via voice uses real-time voice AI that has a per-minute cost to run. We pass this through transparently rather than hiding it in a subscription. Text mode is completely free.
Do Voice AI Tokens expire?
No. Voice AI Tokens never expire. Buy them once and use them whenever you want.
Can I save my game?
Yes! Your game automatically saves when you quit, and you can resume right where you left off. Your progress syncs across devices via your Google account.
What platforms are supported?
Advenchee is available for Android. iOS support is coming soon.
Will more games be added?
Yes! We're working on bringing more classic text adventures to Advenchee, each with full illustrations and AI narration. Stay tuned.
I'm stuck on a puzzle. Help!
In voice mode, you can ask the narrator for hints. In text mode, try typing 'help' or 'hint'. The AI narrator is designed to gently guide you without spoiling the solution.
